ChTZ Holds Professional Skills Contest

April 17, 2013. A professional skills contest dubbed Turner of the Year 2013; the contest is aimed at enhancing the prestige of blue-collar jobs and was coordinated among the lathe operators of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (a member of Uralvagonzavod Corporation), the corporation’s press service reports.
The contest was organized by the Personnel Training Center from Chelyabinsk Mechanics & Technology Vocational School. 12 people from the Engineer Vehicles Production Department, the Foundry & Castings Department, the Diesel Engine Department, the Engineer Equipment Department, and from the Maintenance & Repair Center took part in the event.
The contest consisted in two stages (practical and theoretical) as usual. Every contestant had to answer 20 questions that had to do with their expertise on production equipment, labor protection regulations, and general technical issues. They also had to complete a practical task.
