3 September 2014 (12:37)
September 3, 2014. Following a re-certification audit procedure of the plant’s environmental management system, the board of auditors from the international certification holding DQS recommended that Beloyarskaya Nuclear Power Plant’s certificate should be renewed for three more years, the plant’s information and PR division reports.
‘The inspection of the plant’s divisions and departments revealed not a single case of failure to comply with the certificate requirements. The auditors only found achievements and capacities for further improvement of the system. The most important thing is that the system became an integral part of life at all the divisions, and all the employees learned to look at their activity under the angle of environmental management. We hope that the renewal of this certificate will help to go on maintaining the high environmental standards of Beloyarskaya plant,’ says head of the auditors’ board Elena Ilyina.
Re-certification audit procedures are conducted every three years. DQS certificates prove Beloyarskaya’s compliance with both Russian and international environmental management standards.
