27,200 unemployed are registered in Sverdlovsk Region

August 18, 2014. As of August 1, 2014, there are 27,200 unemployed in Sverdlovsk Region; this comes to 1.2% of the working-age population, Sverdlovskstat officially reports.
According to the findings of recent cluster sampling, there are 2,269,300 working-age residents in Sverdlovsk Region (as of May-July 2014). 2,134,400 people (94.1%) actually have a job and 134,900 people (5.9%) do not have a job but are looking for one (this latter category is classed as the unemployed in accordance with the International Labor Organization’s methodology).
