Operation of hazardous production facilities at Ufaleynickel turns out to be faulty

July 10, 2014. It has been detected that Ufaleynickel has violated the current legislation on industrial safety of hazardous production objects, the spokesperson for Sverdlovsk Region's public prosecution authorities reports.
An inspection revealed that the company was running hazardous industrial facilities (Hazard Class II and III) on the basis of a corresponding license. However, in violation of the federal law, the enterprise did not manage to set up a financial reserve to localize and do away with the consequences of industrial accidents. What is more, the warehouses next to the facilities do not have any materials or supplies to localize and do away with the consequences of possible accidents.
'Failure to comply with the legislation on the industrial safety of hazardous production facilities poses a threat to life and health of local residents as well as to the environment and creates a situation prone to man-caused emergencies,' the spokesperson says.
Following the inspection, public prosecution authorities instituted administrative proceedings against Ufaleynickel.
