June 10, 2014. Sverdlovsk Region remained among the mid-range sustainability federal constituencies in May 2014. The Mid-Urals were given 6,0 points all in all, which is the same figure it was awarded last month, Petersburg Policy Fund's rating states.
Among the factors that made a positive impact on Sverdlovsk Region's rating was a presentation of the constituency's potential to representatives of ninety different countries at the Russian Federation Foreign Affairs Ministry and a business forum that was coordinated jointly with Uzbekistan in Ashkhabad. The news relating to the launch and the upcoming launch of a number of production facilities and the area's impressive position in the socioeconomic ratings were among the positive factors as well. Repetitive political clashes turned out a negative influence, however.
Then, Sverdlovsk Region getting the 18th position in the country investment climate rating put together by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the deportation of the Polish rock band Behemoth, and the impassability of Serov Tract that had been flooded also proved quite significant events.
Tyumen Region, Sakha, and Amur Region outstripped all the other constituencies in the sustainability rating. Yaroslavl Region and Ryazan Region, as well as Krasnoyarsk Territory, were among the last.
