June 4, 2014. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) shipped a 2,000,000 kg-plus set of line pipes with strength grade X60 made at Volzhsky Pipe Plant to a major international oil and gas company Saudi Aramco, the company's press service reports.

'Prior to sending off the order, the goods underwent an inspection audit at VTZ which was conducted by Aramco Overseas Cоmpanу and TVD experts; these specialists represented Saudi Aramco's interests and looked closely into the technological process and the technical requirements set out for the order and the quality of the goods and confirmed production schedules,' the company says.

While the order was being fulfilled, a third party, a company named Tuboscope, confirmed Volzhsky Pipe Plant's compliance with the geometrical parameter, mechanical property, and non-destructive testing requirements.

'Saudi Aramco is the key pipe products consumer in the Middle East, so the standards it sets for the pipe quality are actually higher than the sector's average. The decision to get our produce delivered that was taken by the oil and gas industry leader at the end of the audit is an indicator of the fact that TMK makes pipes which meet the global quality standards, employ the most advanced technologies, and have a deep understanding of the customer and the market, says TMK Director-General Alexander Shiryaev.
