Inspector dies during investigation of accident at Cheremukhovskaya Mine

March 6, 2014. An administration representative got killed while looking into the circumstances of a recent accident at Cheremukhovskaya-Glubokaya Mine. The company employee looked at the scene of the earlier accident, slipped and fell down from an 11-meter height, Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia's Investigative Committee says.
'It was detected that the victim, a representative of Cheremukhovskaya-Glubokaya Mine management, was among the inquiry team members who looked into the accident on March 3, 2014, the same day the accident happened,' the committee reports.
The Investigative Committee reports the management representative looked into the circumstances of how a welder, who got blunt abdominal trauma and a rib fracture. He is now being treated in hospital. During the inspection, the mine manager, who was then at a height of 66 meters, slipped and fell into a hole in the floor, thus dropping to the height of 55 meters. He got lethal injuries and passed away in a clinic.
