Uralvagonzavod's daughter enterprise fulfils government defense order for 2013

December 27, 2013. Burevestnik, a scientific research institute and a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation, fulfilled the government defense order 2013 for the production of naval guns. The company did not stop there and is now working on the range of А190-01 goods pertaining to the order for 2014, Uralvagonzavod's press service reports.

Under the Russian Government's decree, Burevestnik has been producing 100mm automatic naval guns А190-01 since 2011. А190-01 was designed by Burevestnik engineers for different kinds of vessels with tonnage of 500,000kg and up. The gun can effectively hit a wide range of supermarine, coastal, and air targets.

А190-01's firing rate is about 80 shots a minute, its firing range is over 20km within the -10 angle degrees to 85 angle degrees vertical angular range and ± 170 angle degrees horizontal angular range. The weapon is controlled remotely, and its electronic automated control system allows for a very quick implementation in tactical use, speedy carrying out of all operations, and ongoing diagnostics of all the mechanisms.

Under the government's defense order, Burevestnik, in cooperation with the partners operating in the same field, made and delivered to ship-builders six А190-01 naval guns in 2013. Three of those went to M.Gorki Zelenodolsky Plant, two went to Yantar Plant in the Baltic States, and one went to Severnaya Verf Plant.
