November 15, 2013. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (Uraltrac, a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) won a tender for the delivery of two B11 bulldozers to the Sochi division of UES Federal Company, Uralvagonzavod’s press service reports.

The machines have a great mission: to provide uninterrupted power supply for the Sochi Olympics. The bulldozers will become a part of the ‘Olympic Reserve’ of the fleet of vehicles that will be used for the electric mains maintenance in February 2014.

The bulldozers will be shipped to their customers this month. UES are preparing their equipment in the Sochi division so that the repair and maintenance team could deal quickly with any problem at the mains in case of an emergency.

The 25-tonne haulage gear and the bulldozer blades that the B11 bulldozers come with will make these machines into all-purpose vehicles. If necessary, the haulage gear can be replaced with a ripper that also comes with the bulldozer.

These ‘Olympic’ vehicles can be distinguished easily from the other bulldozers made at the plant as they are going to be painted UES company color: orange, rather than the traditional yellow one.
