AMUR assets are estimated at 1bn RUR

November 5, 2013. AMUR car factory based in Novouralsk is now undergoing bankruptcy proceedings and is to be put up to auction in the first quarter of 2014, Kommersant refers to Sverdlovsk Region Ministry for Industry & Science as reporting.
According to the newspaper, the company’s assets have been estimated at 1bn RUR. The Polish company Intrall might act as one of the investors. The investor is actually expected to enter the site next spring, upon which event the plant’s 4-billion-ruble debt might get restructured.
AMUR has been undergoing bankruptcy proceedings since August 2009. The company stopped operating in early 2012 and currently employs 122 people; the workers are in charge of maintaining the site infrastructure. The facility comprises tool-making and extrusions departments, the mechanical assembly department, an assembly line, and welding and paint and coating departments. The plant’s total area is 586,000 sq m, the total area of all the buildings is 322,000 sq m. Pavel Chernavin, the plant’s former DG, is the primary creditor. He is currently involved in a lawsuit with charges of illegal issue of 1.2bn RUR worth of promissory notes. According to the files of the case, he produced 27 promissory notes to be put on the list of creditors. His lawsuit was instituted in February 2013, with charges based on Article 201 (part 1) of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (abuse of power).
