AMUR Car Factory Goes into Liquidation
6 June 2012 (11:00)
ZAO AMUR Car factory stopped operating, the company’s Director-General Yuri Afanasyev told Kommersant.
‘The only people working there now are security staff, engineers, and maintenance personnel. We are selling out the non-liquid assets, and only the potential investors come at the plant now,’ he said.
According to Afanasyev, things are made even more difficult due to the fact that the plant is actually located within a ‘classified’ town of Novouralsk, which is why organizing visits of foreigners is complicated.
AMUR car factory is undergoing bankruptcy proceedings at the moment. Its debts to creditors come to over 3bn RUR.
