October 17, 2013. The first meeting of Sputnik Club's board of trustees took place in Nizhniy Tagil town house. The board has Mayor Sergey Nosov, Deputy Mayor for Social Policies Valeriy Surov, Sputnik Chairman of the Board Alexander Smelik, the club's senior coach Alexander Chelushkin on it, as well as Deputy Executive Director of the Supreme Hockey League Oleg Sutormin, Uralvagonzavod Corporation's press service says. Now the corporation is the general partner of Sputnik Hockey Club.

Uralvagonzavod is represented on the Board by Deputy DG for PR and GR Alexei Zharich and M&A Director Andrei Makov. There are eleven people on the board altogether. Alexei Zharich was elected Chairman of the board of trustees. It was also recommended that some changes be made to the club's Charter introducing the new position of Sputnik's General Manager.

Mayor Sergey Nosov, who chaired the first meeting, said the creation of the board of trustees should become an important step in the development of sports in Nizhniy Tagil.

The third point on the agenda was a recommendation that the newly elected Chairman should come up with the performance plan for the board for the year 2014.
