July 12, 2013. A presentation of ACM-ICPC 2014, a computer programming championship for student teams, was given at Yekaterinburg's stand at the Ural International Industry & Innovations Exhibition/Forum, the city council's press service reports.

Ural Federal University First Vice Rector Dmitri Bugrov, who is in charge of coordinating the contest, told the visitors to the stand that this Mundial would be held on July 22-25.

This year, Saint Petersburg offered the site for holding the ACM-ICPC, and next year, the Urals' capital will take over from the Northern Capital. Every year, 120 teams make it to the final stage of the championship, with three people on every team. This means that, given a certain number of championship organizers, Yekaterinburg will host nearly a thousand representatives of the world IT community.

The sports part of the championship will be held at Uralochka Sports Palace, and the solemn opening and closing ceremonies and the cultural and entertainment features will be coordinated at Cosmos Movie Theater & Concert Hall. Uralochka and Cosmos will create a unified championship zone. Bugrov feels Yekaterinburg will undoubtedly host the events at an outstanding organizational level.
