July 8, 2013. Yekaterinburg will once again become a venue for international symposiums this year. On July 10-12, 2013, the Global Mind Symposium and a Ural-Africa Russian-African Economic Forum will be held in the Urals’ capital, the press officer of Yekaterinburg Administration reports.

The forum will be attended by the representatives of some Black Continent republics: Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Djibouti, Congo, Togo, and Uganda. About 80 voting delegates of the BIE have so far confirmed their coming to the Global Mind Symposium as well; these are ambassador and high-profile diplomats from the BIE member states.

‘This is by no means a coincidence that Yekaterinburg is to be the venue for holding these two global scale events. It is Yekaterinburg that is the Urals’ major cultural and scientific and educational center. Visitors to the city always comment on how friendly the people are, on how pleasant and comfortable the surroundings look, and how well the infrastructure is developed. Holding these events in the city also supports Yekaterinburg’s aspirations to compete for the right to host the World Universal Exhibition EXPO 2020, the press officer says.
