Ural Locomotives holds Quality Day

June 13, 2013. A big meeting on issues relating to the quality of goods the company makes was held at Ural Locomotives (a joint venture run by Sinara Group and Siemens AG based in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk Region). Vice President of Russian Railways and Director of the Traction Department Alexei Vorotilkin, some representatives of the Technical Audit Center and Russian Railways’ departments and local divisions, and industrial scientists and suppliers attended the event.
The Quality Day was mainly targeted at organizing the multi-faceted co-performance of the manufacturing plant with the operation and maintenance companies to ensure the quality and reliability of the goods.
The Quality Day participants paid a visit to the locomotives production site and looked at the facility from the viewpoint of what constructive and technological improvements could be introduced there; they also paid a lot of attention to the enterprise’s quality management system and checked the divisions for the incoming control of components parts (including traction engines) and for the non-destructive control of the mounted wheels.
