June 6, 2013. Russia’s Deputy Minister for Industry & Trade Alexei Rakhmanov visited Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s stand on the first day of the Construction Vehicles and Technologies Exhibition (STT-2013) that opened in Moscow on June 4. He took a great interest in the full-scale specimens of the corporation’s produce, including those produced at ChTZ-Uraltrac, Chelyabinsk. These are the B10M.09, B11, B14, DET-400m tracked bulldozers, the PK-55 and PK-65 front loaders, the BKK-2 compactor and the 10M tractor with a selection of attachable implements: a mulcher, a plough, an angle blade, a grubber, a wedge, and a pulling hoist. One sample, the multi-purpose TMV-2 vehicle, was brought from Nizhniy Tagil, Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s press service reports.

‘The exhibition is rather impressive: 13 hectares full of vehicles! It’s been a long time since we last had something like this not just in Moscow but in Russia on the whole. Your site displays everything you can do, and most importantly, it shows your potential. Anything to do with the hybrid transmission is the trump card for the future. It’s important to convince our customers with the help of these developments that your vehicles ensure the practical benefits that we all understand in theory. Everything else depends on hard work and commitment: this is something that no serious business could do without,’ the official said.

This year is a special anniversary one for Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ, a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation). The city of Chelyabinsk started celebrating the plant’s 80th birthday as early as June 1, and the solemn events continued at the exhibition. A team of weightlifters known as Ural Tanks demonstrated the astonished spectators its talents in the field of lifting and carrying weights (405 kg was the record).
