May 28, 2013. AVTOVAZ announced that some brake mechanism problems were detected in 30,239 LADA cars produced before April 7, 2013: in some cases, a leakage of hydraulic brake fluid might occur, or the brake mechanisms might work less efficiently. This can happen to LADA Granta (21905) and LADA Kalina (11176 and 11196) that have an ABS and gear shift cables (2181). Any such incidents are impossible with the automobiles produced after April 8, 2013.

The car maker’s press service reports that OAO AVTOVAZ is now launching a service campaign free of charge.

‘To protect our customers’ interests, the After-Sales Coordination Administration sent the instructions to this extent to all of LADA’s official dealers, with a list of service jobs to be offered to customers,’ the press service says.

Car owners who are entitled to the benefits of this service campaign will receive an official notice inviting them to get their car serviced free of charge at LADA’s dealership centers. If a car owner does not want to wait for the invitation, it is possible simply to show up at the garage.
