Uralvagonzavod Gets Banner from Governor of Nizhniy Novgorod Region

March 21, 2013. Nizhniy Novgorod-based Burevestnik Central Scientific Research Institute (a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) has been awarded with a special honorary challenge banner by Governor of Nizhniy Novgorod Region Valeriy Shantsev, the corporation’s press service says.

Burevestnik was given the banner ‘for achieving the best performance results among industrial companies in 2012’. In fact, the first such banner was presented to the company by the Governor as early as 2011. The awarding ceremony took place at a meeting of regional enterprises’ top executives chaired by the Governor. The meeting was dedicated to the region’s industry sector’s achievements in 2012 and to setting goals for the year 2012, the press release says.

Over the last four years, Burevestnik’s main technical and economic performance indicators have kept on improving. For one, the company’s production output came to 650m RUR in 2009, to 1,057m RUR in 2010, to 1,415m RUR in 2011, and to 2,856m RUR in 2012. Also, the number of employees in production was 837 in 2009, 839 in 2010, 939 in 2011, and 1,163 in 2012, while the average pay reached 20,500 RUR, 23,200 RUR, 28,400 RUR, and 35,000 RUR a month, respectively.
