March 11, 2013. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant/ChTZ (a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) is about to convert its mass-produced B-11 and B-14 bulldozers to joystick-controlled mode, Uralvagonzavod’s press service reports.

It is explained that the joystick-controlled B-14 makes were presented to the company’s dealers at a special vehicles exhibition that took place on the eve of a big trade representatives meeting. This tractor, with all its modern ergonomic characteristics and design, will hit the assembly line soon.

The new make is the evolutionary result of the company’s track-laying vehicles’ development. This option only used to be available for the wheeled loaders before, the message states.

According to the press service, the automated control of the tractor resulted in very smooth performance. What is more, giving up on drag bars and levers improved the leak tightness and noise insulation of the pit and made the operator’s work more comfortable.

The company’s distribution network representatives say that the companies around Russia are quite interested in these modern vehicles. A trade representative from Krasnodar Territory Nikolai Platov said he was ready to be the first person to sell the B-14 bulldozer as soon as it is produced on an industrial scale.

‘Using joysticks rather than levers will take ChTZ machinery to a new level,’ the plant’s Kuban dealer says.
