January 14, 2013. The ice playground built by Sinara Pipe Plan/SinTZ (part of Pipe Metallurgical Company/TMK) was declared the best in town in the course of a municipal contest in Kamensk-Uralsky. SinTZ’s victory was made more noticeable due to a valuable prize and a thank-you letter from the mayor, TMK’s press office reports.

The ice playground’s theme was Caramel Fairy Tale. The ice-covered area on the premises of the plant park was increased considerably this year and came to 8,500 sq m, which is 1,000 sq m more than a year earlier. The central New Year tree, with its safe and sturdy metal frame and lights, is 22 meters high.

Besides, the youngest visitors to the playground can enjoy one five-meter and two three-meter slides and make use of the skating rink. The Caramel Fairy Tale ensemble consists of 21 colored ice statues (some of the famous fairy tale characters were painted after the assembly) with decorative lighting in some places. The traditional ice mazes are complemented with the play areas and rides. What is more, fireworks were organized on the opening day.

To ensure safety and to keep the ice structures intact, a 24-hour security guards team keeps an eye on the playground. In addition, repairmen are responsible for fixing all the bumps on the slides and slopes as soon as they appear.
