30 October 2012 (14:37)

October 30, 2012. Ural Airlines operated its ‘maiden’ flight from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow. The plane left Rostov-on-Don at 7:00 AM and arrived in the capital at 8:50 AM: the duration of the flight was 1 hour and 50 minutes, and all passengers were treated to a hot breakfast on board. During the check-in, all the passengers were given the traditional gifts from the airline, Ural Airlines’ press service reports.

‘When launching this new flight in Rostov-on-Don, we were trying to offer our passengers a convenient link between the capital of the Russian South and Moscow. The flight is rather suitable for business travelers: the early departure time means they can go on business trips to Moscow during the day and fly back to Rostov at a convenient time. Rostov-on-Don is a strategically important destination for the company, so we do hope that this flight will be a success, and that we are in for some mutually beneficial cooperation,’ says Ural Airlines Deputy DG and Quality Director Alexei Fomin.

Ural Airlines operates daily flights from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow at 7:00 AM and 4:45 PM. The timetable is designed in such a way so as to make it possible for the passengers to go on with their journeys using connecting flights offered by the airline from Domodedovo Airport to the CIS or the far abroad as well as to Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk. For one, Ural Airlines’ Moscow-Cologne flight leaves at 11:40 AM, so the stopover is less than three hours long. Also, all the flights are operated using the European Airbus aircraft that have both the economy and the business class sections.
