Prosecution Authorities Ask Pasler to Facilitate Ural-Lobva’s Insolvency Case
7 September 2012 (10:09)
Sverdlovsk Region prosecution authorities sent a letter to Sverdlovsk Region Government’s Prime Minister Denis Pasler, asking him to consider the possibility of facilitating the performance of LPK Ural-Lobva and of settling the company’s wage arrears issues, Sverdlovsk Region Legislative Assembly’s deputy Andrei Alshevskikh writes in his blog.
Sverdlovsk Region Deputy Public Prosecutor Vadim Chukreyev sent the deputy a letter informing him of all the problems at the enterprise.
The timber business is currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. What is more, the company owed its workers 24m RUR as of late August (that is, wages due for December 2011-July 2012).
LPK Ural-Lobva was set up in October 2009 by TechMash. V. Afanasiev was the company’s Director in February 2011-May 2012. In May, he had to face administrative prosecution and was disqualified for one year. In July, V. Dolzhenkov was appointed Director.
As the company failed to pay the wage taxes, Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Federal Tax Service went to an arbitration court, demanding that LPK Ural-Lobva be declared insolvent. The court ruled that the enterprise should undergo bankruptcy proceedings.
In the first quarter of 2012, the company stopped operating altogether because of the lack of a timber resources base. In 2012, Justice of the Peace of Novaya Lyalya District ruled that the company was to pay off its 6m RUR worth of debts. The court rulings are now being implemented.
