The deputy director of Vodokanal-NT and the legal entity of the same name are now involved in an administrative lawsuit for the contamination of the River Vyya; they could be fined to 3,000-4,000 RUR and 30,000-40,000 RUR, respectively, the spokesperson for Sverdlovsk Region prosecution authorities says.
Vodokanal-NT offers services for the sewage network management to the following enterprises: KDV Nizhniy Tagil, Nizhniy Tagil Cold Storage Facility 1, Nizhiy Tagil Refrigerator, and Interatlantik –NTRK.
It was determined that Interatlantik –NTRK dumped some waste water within the protected river area, as the soil around the sewage well and the walls of this well are covered in white greasy residue, and waste water smells of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, which is typical of consumer waste water; the water also has an off-white, muddy hue.
