SKB-Bank: Over 100bn RUR Worth of Loans Given to Customers

Sverdlovsk Region is one of the Russian regions with the highest amount of loans offered to customers. These data are available from the report on loans issued to private individuals as of July 1, 2012 that is available on the Central Bank’s website, SKB-Bank’s press officer reports.

The greatest number of loans was issued in or near the capital: Moscow (501bn RUR worth of loans), Moscow Region (212bn RUR), and Saint Petersburg (151bn RUR). Sverdlovsk Region is confidently in the fourth place: as of July 1, the local residents have borrowed a total of 109.3bn RUR from banks. Other regions with great lending activity are Krasnodar Territory (90bn RUR worth of loans), Novosibirsk Region (87bn RUR), and Chelyabinsk Region (78bn RUR). Chukotka, with its mere 1bn RUR worth of loans, was the outsider.

As for SKB-Bank, its lending geography coincides with the picture for Russia on the whole: most of its loans were issued in the Urals and in the South of Russia. These totaled to the record 55bn RUR altogether.
