The public prosecution authorities of Kamensk-Uralsky detected that providers OOO KamenskTelecom, OOO Convex-Kamensk, and the macro-regional Ural branch of OAO Rostelecom provided access to extremist content websites, Sverdlovsk Region public prosecution authorities report.

The inspection by the authorities revealed that unrestrained Internet access was offered for certain materials classed as having extremist content and placed on the federal extremist content materials list.

In order to put an end to the circumstances that make the dissemination of extremist content materials possible, at the end of the inspection the public prosecutor of Kamensk-Uralsky placed claims on behalf of the Russian Federation and its citizens and against OOO KamenskTelecom, OOO Convex-Kamensk, and the macro-regional Ural branch of OAO Rostelecom with Krasnogorsky and Sinarsky Districts of Kamensk-Uralsky and Verkh-Isetsky District of Yekaterinburg. The plaintiff insisted on putting a complete stop to providing access to the web pages in question by getting their IP addresses filtered through the edge router.
