The Economic News Agency came up with yet another rating of the Russian entrepreneurs’ political activity at the request of Nezavisimaya Gazeta.

The quarterly rating of 50 Most Influential Entrepreneurs and Investors for the last quarter of 2011 gives BOD Chairman of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Viktor Rashnikov the 16th position (in the Strong Influence group), which is one point better than the position given to the businessman in the previous rating. This is actually one of the highest scores among the representatives of the Russian metallurgical industry. Rashnikov was also given the 16th position in the entire year’s rating. MMK BOD Chairman was mentioned among those who made the most considerable progress in the rating last year.

The methodology of the rating that Nezavisimaya Gazeta carries every quarter has remained the same. The degree of the Russian entrepreneurs’ political influence was determined by a board of thirty-two experts for ninety candidates. The experts used a scale that interprets the average grade assigned to the candidate as follows:

0-1 points: Minimal Influence
1-2 points: Weak Influence
2-3 points: Average Influence
3-4 points: Strong Influence
4-5 points: Very Strong Influence.

The fifty most influential entrepreneurs and investors in Russia were singled out in this way.

Meanwhile, another rating by the Economic News Agency (compiled at the order of Nezavisimaya Gazeta as well) was published recently. In this rating, Viktor Rashnikov was featured among the country’s top 20 most efficient lobbyists in the year 2011.
