A team of Magnesite Group employees arrived at Ufaleynickel JSC in order to carry out experimental-industrial operations on blast furnace lining. The repairs of the No. 2 blast furnace breeching provide for a replacement of the standard bricklaying by the erosion-resistant lining made of refractory concrete mixture, so the preliminary procedures included removing the old brick lining as well as the old rust, calx, and other kinds of residue inside the breeching and creating air and water supplies that are needed for successful functioning of the special evaporation plant.

Ural tube and pipe works assesses its success in the first five months of 2006

Uraltrubprom JSC, local tube and pipe works, assessed its success in the first five months of 2006. According to the company’s spokesperson, in May 2006, the company sold 17,924 tons of goods, which exceeds the figures for May 2005 by 60.1%. Of these goods, 58.6% (10,507 tons) came from closed sections, 41.4% (7,417 tons) from oil line pipes. The total amount of the tubes sold throughout January to May reached the point of 81,651 tons, which is 35.5% better than in the first five months of 2005.

Uraltrac Ltd. of Chelyabinsk sums up its success in the first five months of 2006

Since the beginning of the year, Uraltrac Ltd. has produced 2,126,204,000 RUR worth of commodity goods. Throughout January to May, the company produced 666 engineer vehicles worth 1,215,221,000 RUR including 97 tractors, 33 pipe-laying cranes, 520 ripper-dozer units. Total shipments within the months came to 2,437,332,000 RUR. The company sold 659 engineer vehicles worth 1,402,764,000 RUR including 611 tractors and T-10-based units. Local phone operator Uralsvyasinform stops subscribing

Uralsvyasinform JSC (operating on the cell phone market as Utel) will probably stop subscribing new clients in 2007, said the company’s Commercial Director Andrey Belobokov. According to Mr Belobokov, the current amount of subscribers appears satisfactory to the company, so it’s not likely to extend the client network any further.
