Ural Turbine Plant negotiates with China

The last carriage loaded with parts of the new PT-90 steam turbine meant for the power station located in People’s Republic of China started its journey from the premises of Ural Turbine Plant (part of Renova Group) on October 30, 2006. Another such turbine is now being made as well. In addition, the works is planning to sign a contract involving production of the first 300-megawatt steam turbine with Harbin Turbine Works in April 2007. People evacuated from Yekaterinburg railway station for one hour yesterday

A militia station in Yekaterinburg received a phone call at 9.20 PM yesterday about the bomb allegedly placed at the local railway station. The 51-day overhaul consisting in the replacement of the drum of the winder has been completed at Kazskiy subsidiary of Evrazruda (ore maker and part of Evraz Group).
