Sberbank’s Ural branch sets up automated safety vault

Sberbank of Russia’s Ural branch is to introduce the Urals’ first automated safety vault in Yekaterinburg on February 13, 2008. The vault is to be located at Sberbank’s office No.11 at 27 Vosmoye Marta St. The new self-service safe deposit will be available 24/7. SKB-Bank hits Top 30 Mortgage-Giving Banks rating

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works sets production records

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) looked at the results of its activity in January 2008. The company produced 120,600 tons of ore (which falls short of the previous January’s figures by 22.3%), 932,800 tons of agglomerate (which exceeds the figures for January 2007 by 5.1%), 496,500 tons of coke (which is 9% better than a year earlier), and 874,500 tons of cast iron (which is 7.2% better than a year earlier) in the first month of 2008. We won’t take over Aviaprad, Ural Airlines says

'We do not intend to take over Aviaprad. Most car owners complain of Yekaterinburgnefteprodukt’s gas

Yekaterinburg Consumer Rights Committee reports they received three complaints related to automobile breakdowns due to poor quality gasoline in January 2008. In two out of the three complaints, the car owners blamed Yekaterinburgnefteprodukt. Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant upgrades roller-hearth furnace

A roller-hearth furnace was launched again after a major overhaul at Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (part of ChTPZ Group). The furnace is meant for production of hot-rolled pipes. Housing prices in Yekaterinburg to go up

One square meter of a Yekaterinburg-based dwelling was available for 64,062 RUR on average on February 5, 2008.
