Energy holding to buy majority holding of TGK-9 generating company

Kompleksniye Energeticheskiye Systemy, an energy holding, is going to acquire the majority holding from TGK-9 JSC via buying the extra issue of the company’s shares, General Director of KES Mikhail Slobodin announced at the press conference. The issue (to be offered in the end of 2006 or the beginning of 2007) is expected to come to something about $ 300-350 million. Copper Works of Kyshtym constructs new copper rod production shop

The specialists of copper works of Kyshtym (part of Russian Copper Company) held the first project meeting with Southwire Company executives concerning the potential production of copper rods on March 7 to 9, 2006. Metallurgical works of Zlatoust sums up its success in February 2006

In February 2006, the company produced 500,702,000 RUR worth of goods, which exceeds the figures for January by 4.5%; the metal products output comprised 484,918,000 RUR. Tube maker of Pervouralsk produces 53,500 tonnes of tubes in February 2006

Pervouralskiy Novotrubniy Zavod JSC, the tube maker, shipped 95,500 tonnes of tubes and pipes in January and February 2006 (which exceeds the figures for January and February 2005 by 4%), of which 54,700 tonnes were shipped in February (an increase of 3% against a year earlier). CHTPZ Group signs pipe supplies agreement with Evraz Holding Ltd.

CHTPZ Group signed a tube supplies agreement with Evraz Holding Ltd. valid until the end of 2006. According to the agreement, 90,000 tonnes of seamless pipes will be supplied by Evraz every three months; this is going to be a large part of all the pipes CHTPZ needs annually (about 1 million tonnes). The supplies will be delivered from the plants of Nizhniy Tagil and Novokusnetsk; CHTPZ will also cooperate with some other metallurgical companies and pipe suppliers such as Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Magnitogorsk and Ural Steel.

Block BH-600 of Beloyarskaya power plant to receive fuel refill

Starting March 23, the BH-600 block of Beloyarskaya nuclear power plant will be gradually deactivated to make possible the fuel refill and the regular technical examination.
