Uniland-Holding Corporation (the proprietor of Dixie, one of Russia’s largest retail chains) sold its wholesale business in Yekaterinburg. Motive, one of the mobile operators of Sverdlovsk Region, announced yesterday that it had been given a personal Mobile Network Code by the Russian Federation Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. Town council of Zlatoust believes Mechel Bank performs unauthorized reconstruction of dwellings

Chelyabinsk Region Court of Arbitration received a claim against the town council of Zlatoust laid by Mechel Bank Commercial Bank JSC at the end of September. According to the spokesperson for the court, the bank owns two apartments in a building located in Zlatoust that it wanted to convert into non-residential premises. The town council refused to let the bank do so as the proprietors of the flats had had some re-planning done without any legal permission. Magnesite Industrial Complex (part of Magnesite Group Holding) raised its refractory goods and commercial powders production by 6.5% (up to 320,200 tons) and by 12.9% (up to 661,800 tons), respectively, in January-October 2006 (compared to the corresponding months of 2005). New and more precise microprocessor-based weighing facilities were installed at two skip hoistings of Magnetitovaya mine of Vysokogorskiy Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise (part of Evraz Group). These allow for strict control of the volume of ore extracted and provide stable compliance with the target winning figures.
