Ural Customs Administration’s balance of foreign trade comes to $5 billion in January-March 2007

The balance of foreign trade within Ural Customs Administration zone reached $5 billion in January-March 2007, which falls short of figures for a year earlier by 43.1% due to a 45.9% increase in import figures and a 26.5% decrease in export ones, Ural Customs Administration’s press officer reports. The net profit of UralSvyazInform (the regional mobile operator and telecommunication provider) went down by 12.58% or 151.049 million RUR in the second quarter of the year. Rostechnadzor completes investigation of accident at Mayak Production Association

Five repairmen were exposed to radiation at Mayak Production Association (based in Ozersk, Chelyabinsk Region) on June 22-24, 2007. The accident was reported on July 2, 2007 after the data recorded by both the regular and extra dosimeters that the workers had with them had been decoded. Sverdlovsk Region foreign trade turnover comes to $4.4 billion in January-May 2007

The regional foreign trade turnover (excluding unofficial export and import) came to $4.4 billion (in current prices) in January-May 2007, which exceeds the figures for January-May 2006 by 30.4%, including $3.5 billion worth of exported goods and $865.2 million worth of imported goods, which exceeds the figures for a year earlier by 30.2% and 30.94%, respectively.
