1,647 violations of land laws revealed in Sverdlovsk Region in January-July 2007

Rosnedvizhimost (the state land-laws watchdog) revealed 38,000 violations of land laws in Russia in the first half of 2007, with 4,437 state inspectors responsible for the land surveillance. Over 92,000 inspections aimed at checking the compliance with the existing legislation were conducted in January-July 2007, which exceeds the figures for a year earlier by one-third.
