Uralvagonzavod closed down

‘Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that transformed Uralvagonzavod Production Association into Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation,’ Uralvagonzavod’s Information Management Director Boris Mineev said to UrBC. ‘The President must have thought this was the only way to cut back on tank-building and armor production in Russia. Railroad wheel production line launched at Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works

The spokesperson for Evraz Group reports Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works (aka NTMK, part of Evraz Group) signed an official statement on the successful completion of a 72-hour test of railroad wheel product test line. The line provides for a fully automated 70-second testing of a 400-kilogram all-rolled wheel for internal defects.
