Standard & Poor's expects TMK’s rating to grow worse

Standard & Poor’s credit rating service demoted TMK Capital’s bond ratings down to B, placing the bonds’ rating on CreditWatch, with Negative rating outlook. ‘We actually believe the Russian steel pipes manufacturer’s business solvency indicators will grow much worse this year than we had expected,’ the agency reports. ‘TMK’s rating has been demoted from B+ to B, with the same Negative rating outlook. Court looks into Rusgrad vs. Central Stadium

Sverdlovsk Region Arbitration Court started considering the claim laid by Rusgrad Construction Company against Central Stadium on July 9, 2009. VSMPO-Avisma BOD makes GD resign early

VSMPO-Avisma Corporation’s Board of Directors considered the company’s General Director Evgeniy Romanov’s application for leaving office before the end of his term and decided to let him quit the position on July 12, 2009. During the same meeting, Mikhail Voyevodin was appointed the corporation’s General Director starting July 13, 2009. At the same time, the position of the company’s President was abolished. Ural Airlines launches Khanty-Mansiysk-Baku flights

Ural Airlines operated its first flight from Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, to Baku, Azerbaijan (with a stop in Moscow) on July 8, 2009. Sverdlovsk Region Arbitration Court is to consider the counter-claim laid by Bobrovskiy Insulation Plant against Bank24.ru. The plaintiff wants their security agreement to be declared invalid. Uralfinprombank’s net profit drops 79.5%

The net profit of UralFinPromBank went down by 79.5% (from 17.38 million RUR to 3.57 million RUR) in the second quarter of 2009 compared with the first quarter of the year. Citibank accused of advertising offense

KB Citibank is suspected of violating the Russian Federation advertising legislation. MMK keeps implementing social program

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) keeps implementing its new social benefits scheme. Metallurg Charity Fund and Chelyabinsk Region’s division of Russian Children’s Fund expanded their children’s support program in 2008. Uralfinprombank’s BOD member quits company

2,106,359 of Uralfinprombank’s ordinary shares (a 5.85% shareholding) have been sold by the bank’s BOD member Valeriy Metelskiy, who is thus no longer the bank’s stockholder. The shares were apparently bought by Anna V. Metelskaya, whose shareholding thus rose from 4.15% to 10%. Meanwhile, Uralfinprombank’s representative explained to an UrBC reporter the transaction in question was the equity carve-out rather than an acquisition of any sort.
