VTB’s bad debt rises to 4.3%

VTB (Foreign Trade Bank) had to direct 49.2 billion RUR, or 7.1% of its average annual lending portfolio to setting up devaluation reserves in the first quarter of 2009. This was more than the 4.8% spent in the last quarter of 2008 and is reported by the bank to be due to economic recession. The share of overdue and restructured loans in the lending portfolio’s total volume rose from 2.4% in 2008 to 4.3% in early 2009. Nevertheless, the bad debt compensation coefficient still looks rather comforting despite dropping from 147.6% last December to 118.3% in March 2009.

Akadem-Grad’s bankruptcy case to be heard on September 29

The next meeting related to the proposed bankruptcy of Akadem-Grad has been scheduled for September 29, 2009, the spokesperson for the court informed the UrBC reporter. The company placed its bankruptcy application with the court on June 29, 2009, claiming it was unable to fully meet its creditors’ claims as the claims amounted to more than the debtor’s assets were worth. Standard & Poor’s demotes Alfa-Bank Ukraine’s rating

The international rating agency demoted Alfa-Bank Ukraine’s long- and short-term Contractor Credit Rating from СС/С to SD/SD. The bank’s national scale rating was also decreased from uaCC to SD. Sverdlovsk Region division of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) looked into Bank24.ru’s alleged administrative offense case. The regional public prosecution authorities had investigated the bank’s advertising materials and papers earlier and placed their files with the division so that the latter might decide whether the bank’s loan ads violated the existing legislation. Armenian citizen caught smuggling in Yekaterinburg

Yekaterinburg-based Koltsovo Airport Customs officers halted forty pieces of jewellery made of yellow and white gold at the customs frontier green light corridor early this month. The jewellery was carried by an Armenian citizen who arrived in Yekaterinburg on a flight from Yerevan. ChTPZ Group ships 540,600 tons of goods to consumers

ChTPZ Group’s Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant shipped 540,600 tons of tubular goods to their consumers in the first half of 2009, which was actually 38% less than the 867,800 tons delivered to them a year earlier. LUKOIL-Permnefteprodukt fined for monopolistic prices

The Perm division of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) imposed a fine on LUKOIL-Permnefteprodukt for violating the antimonopoly legislation on the regional fuel market. AMUR’s truck output nosedives 74.3%
