MMK Spends Over 1bn RUR on Environmental Protection in January-June 2012

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) looked into the performance of its environmental management system in the first half of 2012. MMK’s environmental management system has been certified in accordance with the international standard 14001: 2004 requirements. The performance analysis has shown that MMK’s production activity in the first half of 2012 was carried out in compliance with the requirements set by the Russian Federation environmental law and with those set by the international standard.
