Ural Airlines flies over 2m passengers since start of the year

July 18, 2013. Ural Airlines has rendered its services to 2,098,586 passengers since the beginning of the year, the airline’s press service reports. In January-June, 15,101 flights were operated, including 5,303 international flights, 6,295 domestic flights, and 3,503 flights to the CIS member states. Ural Airlines’ passenger traffic rose by 24% in the six months of 2013 compared with the first half of 2012. The company’s total passenger turnover came to 4,983,942,000 passenger-kilometers. Sverdlovsk Region residents complain of quality of tourist service more often

July 18, 2013. Experts from Sverdlovsk Region Hygiene & Epidemiology Center’s Consumer Rights Department report a seasonal increase in the number of consumers’ complaints relating to the quality of tourist service. Most complaints had to do with incomplete and inaccurate information on the service offered (namely, the particulars of accommodation and board) and with the quality of service offered in the host country. STM-Service to service Russian Railways' locos

July 16, 2013. STM-Service, a daughter company of Sinara-Transport Machines, is going to do operation and maintenance of Russian Railways' locos run by Sverdlovsk-Sortirovochny depot; such a decree was signed by President of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin, Sinara Group's PR Center reports. Under this document, STM-Service is now given access to the facilities, buildings, and technological equipment of Sverdlovsk Locomotive Repair Depot and provides full maintenance of its fleet of locos. The depot currently operates over 300 2ES6 and VL11 locos and about 50 TEM18 and TEM7A locos.

July 16, 2013. 388,700 sq m of housing was commissioned in Sverdlovsk Region in January-June 2013, which was 7.8% more than in January-June 2012. 3,957 apartments were built (compared with 4,124 apartments in January-June 2012), SverdlovskStat reports. A number of private individuals used their own savings and borrowed funds to put up 240,400 sq m worth of housing, which is 23.1% more than a year earlier.
