First Freight Company Raises Fares by 3%

The consignors’ total expenses related to the shipment of goods via First Freight Company’s (PGK) open wagons rose by 3% on average, the company’s press service reports. ‘The decision to reconsider our fares was taken due to the need to compensate the current lagging behind of our prices as far as the average market prices are concerned. Prior to February 2012, the price of shipping goods via our open wagons was 20% to 25% lower than the average market price. After the indexation, our prices are 10% lower than the market’s average ones,’ the company’s press release states.

Koltsovo Airport Reconstruction to Start in May 2012

The reconstruction of the airfield at Yekaterinburg-based Koltsovo International Airport is expected to start in May 2012 and to be over in 2014. Over 3bn RUR has been allocated from the federal budget to complete the project. Ural Airlines Launches Online Check-In for Moscow-Chelyabinsk Flights

Ural Airlines’ passengers departing from Domodedovo Airport in Moscow can now check in for their Chelyabinsk-bound flights online. Starting February 7, 2012, customers can check in and choose a suitable seat on board via the Internet, the air carrier’s press service reports. To check in online, a passenger has to go to the airline’s website www.uralairlines.com, select the Online Check-In option, and enter his or her personal data. Koltsovo Airport to Get 3.1bn for Airfield Pavement Repair

The government purchases website carried an announcement regarding an open tender for a construction contract involving some building and assembly jobs at Koltsovo Airport, Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Region. The airport needs to have Section 2 of its airfield pavements restored and repaired. According to the tender documentation, the contract is worth 3bn RUR. All the jobs must be completed within 974 days of signing the construction contract. The results of the tender will be announced on March 19, 2012.
