Mayor of Yekaterinburg Arkadiy Chernetskiy and Sverdlovsk Region Government are expected to sign the agreement on land ownership in Yekaterinburg this week, the spokesman for the Mayor Konstantin Pudov reports. ‘The agreement project is almost finished, there are only some legal details left out. Both parties are willing to settle the issue peacefully. Major breakdown at Golden Telecom Ltd. deprives users of Internet access

The networks belonging to Golden Telecom Ltd. experienced a major breakdown on May 15, 2007, depriving the company’s users of Internet access. The alarming symptoms could be traced early on in the morning when the users’ connection kept going on and off. Then, the web became totally inaccessible at about noon. Regional customs officers find over 1,000 pirated items on trains

Officers of Ural Customs Administration found more than 1,000 pirated items while checking passenger trains 306 (Bishkek-Yekaterinburg) and 11 (Chita-Chelyabinsk), their spokesman reports. Among them are ‘PUMA’ sports outfits, ‘ADIDAS’ sneakers, shorts, T-shirts, and other kinds of sportswear. Permskaya and Kashirskaya power stations produce less electricity in April 2007

First Power Generating Company on the Wholesale Energy Market (aka OGK-1) summed up the results of its activity in April 2007. The company’s power stations produced 3,853.11 million kilowatt/hours in terms of electricity and 86,480 gigacalories in terms of heat last month. Permskaya and Kashirskaya power stations produced 15.85 million and 87.05 million kilowatt-hours less electricity in April 2007 compared to a year earlier.

90% of insolvency claims we get come from Federal Tax Service, acting Deputy Head of Arbitration Court says

‘The court is processing quite a few insolvency claims at the moment; even though initiating bankruptcy proceedings is not that complicated, creditors must be aware of the fact that it is not always the best way out for them. Tyumen customs transfer 252.2 million RUR to federal budget in April 2007

Tyumen customs transferred 252.2 million RUR to federal budget in April 2007, Ural Customs Administration reports. This is 78.6% ahead of the target figures; 33,100 RUR were obtained through selling confiscated produce (231% better than the target figures), fines amounted to 140,900 RUR (8.4% ahead of the target figures).
