UralAviaTechSnab, air industry enterprise, to be privatized in 2007

The Russian Government came up with the prospective federal property privatization plan for the years 2007-2009. This plan provides for privatization of 14 enterprises of Sverdlovsk Region, including UralAviaTechSnab JSC. 100% of this company’s authorized capital is owned by the government at the moment, and, according to the plan, 5,149 shares are to be sold to private holders. Given the medium-term forecasts for Russia’s socio-economic development and the estimates of the privatized companies’ cost in 2007, the federal budget is likely to receive 41bn RUR in the form of profits on sales.

Russian Copper Company puts up third copper electrolysis shop at Kyshtym-based plant

Russian Copper Company CJSC has been putting up the third electrolysis shop at Kyshtym Copper Electrolysis Plant CJSC. Upon the completion of the project, the plant will produce 1.8 times more of cathode copper (up to 220,000 tons a year). The project requires $70m altogether, with the first section of the shop with the throughput of 50,000 tons a year will be launched in May 2007; the whole shop will be put into operation at the end of 2007. Thus the production capacity of Kyshtym Copper Electrolysis Plant will rise by 2.7 times (from 82,000 tons to 220,000 tons of cathode copper annually)

Preliminary estimates of damage done to Russian Railways by fallen bridge in Yekaterinburg amount to 40-50 million RUR

The repair-and-renewal operations at the site of a fallen highway bridge were completed during the day yesterday. The railways at Sverdlovsk-Passazhirskiy-Shartash haul were cleared from the ferroconcrete blocs, and the first operational train used this section of TransSiberian main line at 2.50 PM Moscow time. Asha Metallurgical Works looks at results of its activity in eight months of 2006

Asha Metallurgical Works JSC has produced 4,645,819,000 RUR worth of commodity goods throughout January to August 2006, which exceeds the figures for the eight months of 2005 by 5.1%. Its steel and rolled metal output came to 424,982 tons (3.9% better than in 2005) and 308,174 tons (an increase of 6.2%), respectively. The works produced 47,250.96 kilograms of amorphous tape, which is 45% more than a year earlier, and 1,103,445 magnetic conductors, which exceeds the figures for the year 2005 by 14.5%, the company’s spokesperson said to UrBC representative.

Chelyabinsk Region electricity supplier gets 100-kilowatt portable diesel generator

ChelyabEnergo JSC, the regional energy and electricity supplier, acquired the new 100-kilowatt portable diesel generator for its subsidiary Chelyabinsk Electrical Networks. Concrete roof falls down due to violation of occupational safety provisions when dismantling metalwork at Kasli Machine Building Plant

A 100 square meter-patch of concrete roof fell down at No. 2 shop of Kasli Machine Building Plant (Chelyabinsk Region) due to violation of occupational safety provisions when dismantling metalwork on September 1, 2006.
