Srendeuralskiy Winery Ltd. (part of AVS-Group) gets no license

Sredneuralskiy Winery Ltd. (part of AVS-group) applied to Federal Tax Service for a license permitting them to produce alcohol-containing drinks in July 2006. As Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Provision Sergey Latzkov said to UrBC representative, the company still has not got a license, so it is unable to resume its activity.

‘Since the company has no license at the moment, Sredneuralskiy Winery Ltd. (part of AVS-Group) has to hold up production for the time being. This lack of license is also the reason why we still have not been able to obtain the second batch of excise duty stamps. According to the data presented by Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the output of vodka and liquors produced by Ekaterinburgskiy Likerovodochniy Zavod (Winery of Yekaterinburg) PLC comprised 385280 decalitres in 2005, which exceeds the figures for 2004 by 74%. The winery produced 33060 decalitres of vodka and liquors in December 2005 (as opposed to previous December’s 36100 decalitres, of which 3,000 decalitres had not been sold by January 1, 2006.

Khrustalevskiye Zavody Ltd., the winery of Lesnoy, Sverdlovsk Region, produced 97,490 decalitres of vodka in 2005, which signifies a 98.2% increase against the 49,200 decalitres produced in 2004. According to the data presented by Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the winery’s output in December comprised 17,720 decalitres (an increase of 44,1% compared to December 2004 with its 12,300 decalitres), of which 2,160 decalitres had not been sold by January 1, 2006.
