NTMK announces winding-up of the associated company Goroblagodatskoye Rudoupravlenie JSC

On March 23, 2006, a group of representatives of Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau,VAI headed by Gunter Holleis, VAI Board of Directors Adviser, leaves Nizhnetagilsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat (NTMK, Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhny Tagil) for Europe. VAI representatives participated in the discussion of NTMK reconstruction plans. According to NTMK PR-department, a number of the company’s main production facilities today are in need of renewal. NTMK is now considering several versions of step-by-step and complex reconstruction and consulting leading European engineering corporations.

The similar productions of Evraz Group achieve closer cooperation. As part of these cooperative activities, the metallurgical works of Nizhny Tagil (Nizhnetagilsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat, NTMK JSC) integrated in Evraz Group received a rail rolling metal consignment of 600 tons from another member of Evraz, Novokuznetsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat JSC (metallurgical works of Novokuznetsk). The decision to ship the metal from Novokuznetsk to Nizhny Tagil was made by the Evraz Group balance committee to improve the distribution of production capacities of its metallurgical works, NTMK JSC

Nizhnetagilsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat JSC (NTMK, Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhny Tagil), member of Evraz Group, began the thorough overhaul at one of the company’s major rolling shops. All the soaking pits of the NTMK blooming mill department will be repaired within a year. According to the NTMK PR-department, the company has 6 functioning rolling shops. Integrated Metallurgical Complex of Nizhny Tagil JSC (NTMK JSC), member of Evraz Group, is going to participate in the 5th International Exposition of Armament, Defense Technologies and Ammunition RUSSIAN EXPO ARMS – 2006. Integrated Metallurgical Complex of Nizhny Tagil (NTMK JSC), member of Evraz Group, is preparing to put into operation a new circulation vacuum vessel at its oxygen-converter plant. The vacuum vessel is used to remove detrimental gases from molten steel. NTMK has already received the vacuum vessel equipment by now. The German company SMS-Mevac has completely fulfilled its liabilities under its contract with NTMK. However, NTMK is going to manufacture some necessary units and the teeming ladle cars for the vacuum vessel on its own. Now the builders are completing the installation works.
