MMK Group Directs RUB 520m to Healthcare

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 21, 2020. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Group directed more than RUB 520 million to healthcare programs in 2019. The Group’s parent company MMK allocated RUB 255.3 million for the purpose, the company’s Information & PR Department reports.

‘MMK employees could enjoy the company healthcare packages last year as part of their voluntary medical insurance program. 17 people underwent medical treatment in clinics in Russia and abroad. 3,670 people had their dental bills co-paid by the company as well; they could choose from among several dental clinics of their choice. 68 people were provided with hi tech medical treatment,’ the company says.

MMK management decided last year to try and triple the number of workers who get annual flu shots. The company purchased 27,000 vaccine units and had its workers immunized free of charge at 40 company medical units between October and the end of December. The campaign covered a large part of the industrial site workers. Additionally, 1,153 employees from among those who work in the open had their encephalitis immunization covered by the employer.
