Inflation comes to 4.7% in Sverdlovsk Region

January 12, 2016. Inflation rate was registered at 14% in Sverdlovsk Region in December 2015 against a year earlier and at 0.5% against November 2015, Sverdlovskstat reports. Food items grew 17.2% more expensive compared with December 2014 and 1.7% more expensive compared with November 2015; the price of strong drinks went up by 9% and 0%, respectively. Non-food items grew 0.3% more expensive compared with November 2015 and 14.3% more expensive compared with December 2014. The price of services dropped by 0.6% compared with November 2015 and rose by 10.9% compared with December 2014.

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 5, 2016. Sverdlovsk Region’s consumer price index for July 2016 exceeded that for a year earlier by 7.5%, Sverdlovskstat reports. Against July 215, food items grew 8.1% more expensive, non-food items grew 9% more expensive, and the price of alcohol drinks and services rose by 6.5% and 4.9%, respectively. Against January 2016, food items, non-food items, alcohol drinks, and services grew 3.2%, 4.5%, 5%, and 4% more expensive, respectively. Inflation rate in July rose by 0.6% against June 2016.

The prices of food items went up by 20.3% in Sverdlovsk Region between July 2014 and July 2015 (the figures do not account for strong drinks), Sverdlovskstat reports. Alcohol items grew 11.2% more expensive in the course of a year. Non-food items grew 13.3% more expensive, while the price of services went up by 15.8%. Sverdlovsk Region’s overall inflation rate was estimated at 16% between July 2014 and July 2015. Compared with June 2015, however, food items were 0.1% cheaper in July.

All in all, the price of commodities rose by 3.9%, that of services by 3% last year. Food items (excluding alcohol) grew 3.2% more expensive, non-food items grew 4.3% more expensive. In December 2017, the price of commodities rose by 2.5% on Sverdlovsk Oblast markets compared with one year earlier, that of services rose by 1.7%. Food items (including strong drinks) grew 0.1% more expensive in the last month and 11.8% compared with the start of the year; alcohol grew 0.1% more expensive against April 2015 and 6.5% more expensive against December 2014. The price of non-food items went up by 0.3% in May 2015 and by 8.5% against the start of the year; the price of services went down by 0.3% against April 2015 and went up by 4.2% against December 2014.
