Uralvagonzavod to cooperate with Omsk Region Government

March 04, 2014. Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Viktor Nazarov and Director-General of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation Oleg Sienko signed a cooperation agreement, the corporation's press service says.

The joint projects and events will be coordinated by Omsk Region Economics Ministry on behalf of Omsk Region Government and by Transport Machine-Building Design Office (KBTM) on behalf of Uralvagonzavod.

The agreement provides for the two parties cooperating in various fields: exchanging information on the scientific, technological, and innovative potential of hi tech production sector, helping one another to promote up-to-date industrial technologies, and attracting investments in the production sector.

KBTM to Celebrate 55th Anniversary

March 18, 2013. On March 22, 2013, one of Omsk Region’s largest enterprises, Transport Machine-Building Design Office (KBTM) that is a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation, will celebrate its 55th anniversary, the corporation’s press service reports. KBTM was set up in 1924 and kept developing until 1940 at Plant 174 in Leningrad. In 1942, it had to be relocated to Omsk alongside Leningrad Tank Plant 174. The plant’s Chief Engineer’s Department was converted into a self-standing specialized Transport Machine-Building Design Office (KBTM) OKB-174 on March 21, 1958.

KBTM organizes walking tour for students of Omsk Lyceum 25

April 2, 2014. KBTM (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Enterprise) coordinated a walking tour of the premises for the students of Omsk Lyceum 25 who specialize in sciences. According to the corporation's press service, the young students had a unique opportunity to visit the tank assembly shop where they could see the production process with their own eyes and even take part in it.
