STZ children’s camp opens museum

July 5, 2013. A museum dedicated to the history of Seversky metallurgical industry workers’ camping site was opened at Gorodok Solntsa, a children’s summer camp run by Seversky Pipe Plant, the enterprise’s press service reports.

‘The idea to piece together all the exhibits relating to Gorodok Solntsa’s fifty-year history took root in the mind of long-service employees about a year ago, when they visited the camp during the anniversary celebrations. Workers from Severskaya Blast Furnace Museum decided to make this idea a reality and suggested setting up a traveling exhibition,’ the press release says.

About a thousand artifacts have been collected so far, a project of the exhibition has been designed, and scores of interviews have been conducted with the old-time employees who used to work at the camp at some points. In addition, Sverdlovsk Region State Archive proved to have plenty of useful data on the subject.

International photo project launched at Seversky Pipe Plant’s museum

July 31, 2013. A new international photo exhibition was presented at Seversky Pipe Plant’s Severskaya Blast Furnace Museum. The exhibition is called There Are No Borders to the World – There Are Cardinal Directions, the enterprise’s press service reports. The project features two exhibitions, in fact. The first one is called Greece in My Heart and was coordinated at the initiative of and with the efforts of representatives of Corinth Pipeworks S.A. (CPW), a partner of Pipe Metallurgical Company in their joint venture TMK-CPW (based on the premises of one of Seversky Pipe Plant’s departments).

PNTZ Museum celebrates 40th anniversary

PNTZ sends children to theme summer camp

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 9, 2015. Gagarinsky, a children’s sports and recreation facility sponsored by Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ), is running Engineerica, a special summer program, this June, the plant’s press service reports. ‘Children will learn a lot of useful things on Gagarinsky’s program. STZ celebrates first pipe anniversary

December 26, 2013. Seversky Pipe Plant (STZ, a member of Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK)), celebrated one of the most important dates in the history of the company. Fifty years ago, the first pipe was produced at Seversky Metallurgical Plant, and the company soon changed its specialization and its name to Seversky Pipe Plant, the enterprise’s press service reports. EVRAZ NTMK BOD to Close Down On-Site Museum

EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Iron & Steel Works (NTMK) Board of Directors decided to close down the subsidiary of EVRAZ NTMK Museum & Exhibition Center on April 30, 2012. The decision got five BOD members’ votes, with no one voting against the proposal or abstaining from voting. NTMK Museum was founded in 1975. In 1996, a new concept was developed and the museum was turned into NTMK Museum & Exhibition Center (1,500 sq m) that had no counterparts among all of Russia’s metallurgical industry on-site museums.
