UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 9, 2010. Rive Gauche, a perfume and cosmetics chain store might buy the Russian branch of the German Douglas Rivoli. The chain controlled by Oleg Boiko is currently one of the businesses that are most likely to take over Douglas, Kommersant reports.
Douglas operates one store in Yekaterinburg at the Park House Mall.
OOO Douglas Rivoli that runs thirty-one stores in Russia altogether announced in the fall of 2010 that it was planning on selling the business. Taiga Capital, an investment company, was asked to look for a customer. The offer first interested Alcor & Co (the business that operates L’Etoile chain), but the company later backed out of the negotiations.
As for Rive Gauche, the company runs a chain of 126 stores as of December 1, 2010.
