Gazprombank’s net profit drops 2.3 times

The net profit of Gazprombank (calculated in accordance with the Russian Accounting Standards) plunged by 2.3 times down to 9 billion RUR in the year 2009, the bank’s report states.
This significant drop in profit resulted from the need to pay a much greater income tax in 2009. What is more, the company received less impressive dividends from its daughter enterprise investments and foreign currency transactions.
