Rostransavto might go bust
18 December 2009 (09:58)
Sverdlovsk Region Arbitration Court began considering the claim laid by Bank VTB’s Yekaterinburg subsidiary against Rostransavto. The plaintiff demands that the defendant be declared bankrupt.
The bank insists that Rostransavto is unable to meet its creditors’ claims, as its debts outstrip the cost of its assets.
Rostransavto is a large business dealing in the supplies of road construction appliances, freight vehicles, communal housing services and warehouse machinery, and spare parts to the customers based in the Urals and Siberia. The company is also the official dealer of TK Kommash, Uralvagonzavod Federal State Unitary Enterprise, Ulyanovskiy Mechanical Plant 2, and Mitsuber Construction Machines Corp. What is more, Rostransavto cooperates with such companies as Gazprom, Yava-Holding, TNK, SibTranArktika, and ZAO Trud as well as with the regional road-maintenance companies and Russia and the CIS’ major builders.
The company joined Atlas Group in August 2006 and so united with Pervouralsk-based concrete goods plant, Mitsuber, and Atlas Stroy.
In case Rostransavto is declared insolvent, its trustee in bankruptcy will be chosen among the members of interregional Self-Regulatory Organization of Trustees in Bankruptcy Noncommercial Partnership.
